Armenak Khanperyants Museum

Armenak Khanperyants was confusingly called Sergey Khudayakov in Russian, bearing little resemblance to his actual name. A Marshal of Soviet Air Forces and a Hero of the Soviet Union, he is not the only high ranking military leader from Karabakh. Even with that prior knowledge, it is quite unexpected to see a military plane of WW II times perched on metal pipes in a hilly village in Karabakh, far from the arena of military actions of that war. 

After the Hadrut district was occupied by Azeris in 2020, there were reports that the museum and the monument to Khanperyants were destroyed several months later.
